The ipcrazy API uses API keys created in the console. Today the API lets your application verify that its key is valid. Purchases, wallet and proxy management are done in the console.
An API key is not a proxy credential. It never grants proxy access, and proxy usernames and passwords never work as API keys.

Base URL

All endpoints are under /api/v1 and return JSON.

API keys

  1. Verify your email address. Unverified accounts cannot create keys.
  2. Open API Keys in the console, enter a label and create the key.
  3. Copy the key immediately. It starts with ipc_live_ and is shown only once.
You can hold up to 10 active keys. Revoke a key in the console as soon as it is no longer needed or may have leaked; revoked keys stop working at once. Send the key as a bearer token:
Keep keys on your server. Do not embed them in browser code, mobile apps or public repositories.

Responses and errors

Successful responses wrap the result in data. Every response includes a trace_id. Errors use one shape:
  • Branch on error.code, not on message.
  • Retry only when retryable is true, with backoff. A 429 response may include a Retry-After header.
  • Quote the trace_id when you contact support.
